Knitting
My hobbies are a little closer to home. A friend’s favorite slippers (checkerboard slippers or checked puffed slippers) were wearing out, so I learned how to knit them. Make a pair and make someone’s day. You can get the instructions to make these slippers here Sadly the original site link to http://woolworks.org/slippers.html does not exist anymore.
I also knit a lot of dishcloths similar to this. Alberta winters are long and cold.
Gardening
Loved all of the Monty Don shows on Netflix, read Joel Karsten’s Straw Bale Gardening book and follow No Dig gardener Charles Dowding on Instagram. All of these keep me motivated for working on my yard. Alberta summers are awesome.
Camping
